Deprecation of EditFields in the near future

Hi,

deprecation of EditFields is still in progress in RB 2009 R4.

Rel.Notes:
"Listbox.ActiveCell now returns TextField instead of an Editfield."

Nevertheless, EditFields are still working.
As with the report generator we got the first interesting feature for
a long time, I'm interested in getting pgSQL4RB "future save".

Marc, will it be a great effort to change the pgSQLFileds to
TextFields and are you capable of doing this in the near future?

Regards
Sebastian
I've played a few seconds with it and it doesn't seem to be a
problem at first glance. It seems to be still working. Let me know
if you run into problems with r3.
When they drop the EditField altogether, I'll change the code. In
about a month or two I should be back in a regular office setting
and will take care of all this.
Cheers,
Marc

Hi,

pgSQL4RB version 2.1 release 1 is now available for download:

<http://aliacta.com/download/pgSQL4RBv2_1r1.zip>

This release dropped support for Visual Control Binding (sigh), and
has a pgSQLfield and a pgSQLtextArea to reflect the recent changes in
RB. It requires RB 2009r3 or later.

This is a free update, enjoy!

Cheers,

Marc

Yippieh,

thank you very much!
Already converted a big project to 2.1r1.
No errors.
Thank you for making it future save (until RB uses their deprecation
knife again).

Kind regards
Sebastian
